Parivarikee nurtures the needy child right from his or her infancy, welcoming them to the realm of learning not just in the rudiments of education but to the rich world of familial love, care and esteem that they are otherwise devoid of in their respective surroundings. And this we do — without any political, religious or social prejudice.
From 2017, Parivarikee has transformed itself into an English medium school on popular demand from a large section of the parents. We take in the children right from the pre-primary level guiding them till Class V and prepare them for the challenges ahead. The school provides them all the books, uniforms, medical aid and other accessories. Computer training is also compulsory for the students right from Class 1. We do not stop at education alone; we empower them with skills in multiple fields like drawing and painting, singing and dancing, yoga, health, hygiene and moral values too.
It is not only children that we engage with; we are deeply committed to young girls and women as well. We give them a vista of vocational streams to pick up skills which can help them create a financially independent existence for themselves. Courses we offer include a Beauticians’ Course, Spoken English, Sewing, Embroidery, vocational training for making handcrafted paper gift bags and other items to eliminate the use of plastic.
Parivarikee also lends a helping hand to some students and ex- students in its own small way by financing and facilitating them for higher studies. Often due to pecuniary impediments, students are compelled to drop out of education totally to embrace a life of manual toil alone which fetches them just about enough to survive. We are glad that some students we have assisted have gone on to pursue careers like medicine and engineering.
Parivarikee runs a charitable homoeopathy dispensary which benefits nearly a thousand indigent patients every month.
We are proud that we have been able to engender a qualitative change in the lives of hundreds and thousands of children and women over the past fifty years.
